As a citizen of Iceland I would like to point out to that if we wish to use a European name to describe your continent, the name should by Wineland, the name the Icelandic discoverer Leifr Eiriksson gave the continent when he came over 10 centuries ago.
The name implies both possibilities and bright future, hinting towards scriptural texts about the good land of wine and honey. Your tendency to name things after dead our dying males completely lacks this futuristic aspect.
