{"id":6150,"date":"2015-08-02T09:57:24","date_gmt":"2015-08-02T13:57:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/igrundun.wordpress.com\/?p=6150"},"modified":"2015-08-02T09:57:24","modified_gmt":"2015-08-02T13:57:24","slug":"carpool-or-rideshare-for-worship","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ispeculate.net\/writings\/2015\/08\/02\/carpool-or-rideshare-for-worship\/","title":{"rendered":"Carpool or Rideshare for Worship"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On my way to church this morning I was trying to think through how we can help our congregants get to church, and especially those that have limited mobility due to\u00a0lack of access to a transportation.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>In the past the congregation ran a &#8220;Van Ministry&#8221;. Volunteers drove the &#8220;Church Van&#8221; around and picked up congregants that needed a ride to church. For various reasons that is not a realistic option at the moment.<\/p>\n<p>My thought while driving to church, was focused on carpool\/rideshare option. In the past that would have meant a lot of paperwork, complicated planning and endless phone calls, but as UBER has proved it should be manageable and relatively\u00a0simple to do it with &#8220;an App&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>To begin with we\u00a0have a fixed time, 10:30 am Sundays.
